Group News – BISTO APPOINTS ST LUKE’S AS ITS LEAD CREATIVE AGENCY

St Luke’s has been appointed as lead creative agency for the Bisto account following a recent competitive pitch process and will now be part of the Premier Foods Creative Roster. 

St Luke's remit for Bisto is to be the long-term strategic partner, which will include developing a new brand comms strategy including above-the-line and social for this coming year. Activity will cover the entire Bisto range which includes the iconic red drum gravy granules, as well as the Bisto Best range, the signature ‘ready-to-use gravy’ and numerous flavour variations. 

Bisto was invented in 1908 as a meat-flavoured gravy powder and rapidly became a best seller and household name. Bisto granules, which dissolve in hot water to form a gravy substitute, were introduced in 1979.  Bisto was acquired by Premier Foods in 2007 when it bought Rank Hovis McDougall, forming one of the UK’s largest food manufacturing companies.
